| Seventeen-year-old Allan Bailey has suffered from optic atrophy since birth, a condition signified by the loss of some or most of the nerve fibers in the optic nerve which causes progressive vision loss. His condition threatened his musical career as a violinist and his dream to attend a prestigious music school. Juilliard, the most prestigious music school, is one of the many schools to which Allan Bailey is applying to attend. Until Bailey discovered a solution he was determined to play by memorizing music or finding larger print music sheets, but with the help of this solution he could regain his ability to “see” and continue to pursue his dream. |
